Daniel Mckeen grew up on the family farm. He had worked with his mother and brothers on the farm in Albion, Maine, for 16 years when the Lord began to show Dan a need for a greater harvest, a harvest of souls. Through a series of events and God's clear direction Dan left the family farm to go to Ecuador, South America on a short-term missions trip. As a result of that trip and the work that God had done in his heart, Dan enrolled at New Brunswick Bible Institute to obtain the training needed to be a foreign missionary. Afters 4 years of preparation Dan, his wife Diana and four children moved to Costa Rica for a year of Spanish language training then moved to Ecuador. In the 14 ministry years that followed, lessons of God's faithfulness, countless trials and blessings were experienced along the journey of obedience to God's call. You may read about the McKeen Family's adventures by clicking on the link below, Living Beyond Obstacles.

Through a number of circumstances and God"s clear direction Dan was lead to return to the family farm in Albion in December of 2014. After a time of regrouping Dan felt the Lord would have him continue in ministry in some capacity. He began doing some pulpit supply and one church that captured his heart was EBCC. Church leaders asked him to pray about being interim pastor. As God was obviously leading, Dan accepted the position trusting the Lord.  It is a joy to be a part of the East Benton Christian Church.
